Using the new eAssistant module Bolts and Pins, the following kind
of connections can be calculated very fast:

• Longitudinal pin under torque,
• Guide pin under bending force,
• Cross pin under torque as well
• Bolt connection under shearing force

All calculations are based on accepted technical literature
(e.g., Niemann and Decker).

The following pin types are available: Solid pin, grooved pin, (hollow)
dowel pin and coiled spring pin.

An extensive material data base allows an easy selection of the appropriate
material. The user can specify an individual material. Hence, E-module,
tensile strength, kind of material and yield point can be defined.
The permissible surface pressures are determined from the yield point
or tensile strength. However, the surface pressures can be specified by
the user, too.
